Associate DVM
At Forest Hills Veterinary Clinic, we are seeking an Associate Veterinarian who is looking for the opportunity to join our multi-doctor practice that focuses on educating clients on the highest quality care and building lifelong relationships with pets and pet owners. The best part of our practice is that you will be supported by a skilled and collaborative team in a relaxed environment!
Our experienced and tenured support staff will allow you to focus on patient care and provide an excellent client experience. Our clientele is highly invested in their pet’s health and will follow through with your recommendations; allowing you to practice high-quality medicine. We routinely update our facility and equipment, including our right large surgery suite to continually provide an excellent experience for our doctors, clients, and patients. Our veterinarians are excited to add an associate to the team to continue our legacy of providing quality care to our patients in the community.

Veterinary Technician

Our practice is excited to add another Veterinary Technician to our team! We are looking for an individual who is good at communicating, organization, and multi-tasking, and who is ready to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate would be a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), but candidates with 2 or more years of prior experience in veterinary medicine will also be considered.

Hours of Operation: Monday 8:30 am-7:00 pm; Tuesday-Friday 8:30 am-6:00 pm

Full-time and Part-time (2-3 days per week) positions available.

Essential Functions:

  • Able to perform basic animal handling and restraint
  • Be able to accurately position for radiographs
  • Assist veterinarians in the practice of veterinary medicine and surgery
  • Perform in-hospital lab testing and prepare specimens for outside labs
  • Assist veterinarians in outpatient exams by taking histories, vital signs, and weights as well as providing client education
  • Collect and prepare diagnostic samples
  • Anesthesia monitoring
  • Assist in maintaining practice equipment
  • Assist veterinarian performing surgery
  • Assist veterinarians in any other assigned tasks
  • Maintain cleanliness of surgery suite, treatment area, and exams rooms for all surfaces
  • Support DEA compliance as it relates to the role
  • Any other duties as assigned

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Active Michigan veterinary technician license (preferred)
  • Previous experience in veterinary medicine (required)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance
  • Practice OSHA safety techniques including proper PPE
  • Computer skills, MS office applications, etc.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 – $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
